Chrome resists heat and wear. Chrome will stay cool longer with less stitch distortion and aids the thread to pass through the needle eye with less friction and less heat build-up. Chrome also allows the needle to pass through the fabric with less resistance.
Ideal for cotton knits, interlock, rib knits, fleece, double knit, and sews most knit fabrics.
The tip is more rounded than the Universal needle and is designed to push the fabric fibres apart without cutting them, preventing the knit fabric from laddering or running after stitching.
Generally threads such as polyester or polyester / cotton blends are best.
Once again the finer the needle the finer the thread to be used.
